MARTIN BARRE (2023 ongoing) I've been having a lot of fun touring 'A Brief History of Tull' with Martin, who is best known as legendary guitarist of Jethro Tull.

JOHN PAUL JONES (1999-2002) touring the world with JPJ and Nick Beggs playing ZEP classics, 'Black Dog', 'When the Levee Breaks' and others was a definite highight.  I also played drums on John's 2nd solo album entitled 'The Thunderthief'. 

PETER MURPHY (1986-1992) I was in Peter's band 'The Hundred Men' during his most succesful era. 'Cuts You Up' made No. 1 in the Billboard charts in 1990 and I played on 'Love Hysteria, 'Deep' and 'Holy Smoke'.

IONA (1998-1998)  I recorded 5 albums with Iona, 'Beyond These Shores' being my favourite and 'Journey Into The Morn' being the most well known.

ELIZABETH MCGOVERN - SADIE AND THE HOTHEADS (2009-ongoing) Elizabeth, well known as Lady Cora from the hit Film and TV series Downton Abbey is also songwriter performing as Sadie and the Hothead. Two highlights have been opening for Sting at the Montreux Jazz Festival 2013 and performing on TV's 'The Kumars' together.

GUINNESS WORLD RECORD - In 2005 I joined Ed Freitas, Calum Rees and Liam Watts to do 'The Longest Drum Roll Ever', lasting 22hrs 5m and 23 secs!

GRAHAM KENDRICK (2008 - 2023) GK is known as the most prolific writer of contemporary Christian songs in the UK. He's a great friend and it's always been an honour to play for and with him on his projects.

I grew up in Northamptonshire and left school at 16 to follow my dream of playing drums in a band. My dad introduced me to an incredible spectrum of songs and musical genres and within them I discovered Krupa, Morello, Ringo, Bonham, Carlton Barrett, Hughie Flint and many others, all of whom I credit as teaching me how to play.

More than four decades later, I still love drums and I'm still at it. What a journey it has been too. I have worked on literally thousands of recording sessions with some very special artists and I've got to do more than 50 international band tours. I also write, produce and collaborate on solo projects and do some teaching at events as part of an initiative I call 'Voice of Drums'.

Some highlights amongst my credits include working with: John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin (album and tours), Peter Murphy (3 albums, Billboard No. 1 ‘Cuts You Up’) Peter Gabriel (studio tracks), Matt Redman (5 years touring, album sessions), Faith Hill (Europe TV dates), Steve Levine (UK hits with Honeyz, Louise, 911, King's Singers), Elizabeth McGovern (tours, TV dates, 3 albums), Iona (5 albums), Roddy Frame (TV dates and tours), Robin Mark  (‘Days of Elijah’ and 2 live albums), Barbara Dickson (2 albums, tours), The Bad Shepherds (tours), Northern Sinfonia (tours), Steve Taylor (album, tours) and many others. 

Other credits include writing music for the BBC, Channel 4, ITV, Discovery Channel, Netflix, Sky Arts, Animal Planet and getting a Guinness World Record for the longest ever drum roll (with Ed Freitas, Calum Rees and Liam Watts in 2005.

I am married to Jules who is an author and together we have six incredible children, a dog and two cats.
